What Memorial Day means to me?

Memorial Day is always the last Monday in May. The word MEMORIAL  means a recognition or structure in honor of something a person or multiple people did. It is a lot like the word memory. Many people visit the graves of people who have died in a war and place flowers or flags at the site.  For me, it is not about a day off work, camping or BBQ.  It is a reminder that so many men and women gave their lives so that I can live.   Every combat veteran has give us such a great gift without asking anything in return.  On this day, and every day, they should be given our unconditional love and respect.  I, for one, will be forever in their  debt.    ~ Debra Hubka
